Put soil to the test
Test your soil's pH with an easy-to-use kit from the garden centre and if it's 6.5 or below treat it with garden lime to bring it closer to a neutral pH of 7, where your plants will be much happier.. Dolomitic limestone, calcified seaweed or garden lime are all suitable for raising the pH.
